Technical Support Analyst
Imaginet are recruiting. This means there's an exciting opportunity for a top class Technical Support Analyst to join one of the UK's leading web agencies. We're looking for someone with a couple of years experience who has bags of enthusiasm and a real love of the web.
A bit about the job
This will be an interesting and challenging role working within our support team. Initially all work will be done under close supervision, helping you get up to speed with all our systems, technology and processes. Day to day, your main responsibilities will involve functional testing of large pieces of work before and after making them live, investigation of any bugs/issues reported as well as general systems support.
Service is really important to us, and a large portion of this role is customer facing – frequently liaising with 3rd party suppliers and our clients, identifying and troubleshooting problems.
A bit about who we're looking for
It goes without saying you'll have a real passion for the web and the technology that powers it. You should be interested in supporting and developing existing systems with an emphasis on reliability and robust solutions.
- Teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Development on a LAMP platform (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
- Knowledge of XML, SOAP, JSON, REST
- Versioning tools - SVN, Git
- Other programming languages - Perl, Python, Java
- Programming frameworks and libraries e.g. jQuery, CakePHP, Zend
- Free software packages e.g. WordPress, phpBB
- Internet protocols - DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTP, SSL
- Support of desktop PCs - Windows XP, Windows 7, Mac OS X
- Support of Windows Server and SQL Server
