Continuing our work for the Go-Ahead Group we recently launched a brand new site for Metrobus – a bus operator serving London and the South-East of England.
The information rich website gives passengers everything they need to plan their journey online, plus a whole lot more. There’s:
- Real time updates
- Ticket purchasing
- Extensive travel information
- Destinations and a section dedicated to tourism
- A detailed about us section
- Information for bus enthusiasts
The key challenge for us was to make sure all this information was well structured and presented in a way that was interesting and easy to use. A big help was having well documented and clear brand guidelines from Metrobus, which we used to guide the appearance of the site. We also placed a large emphasis on the navigation and site structure, keeping everything clean and simple.
Metrobus now have an excellent tool for providing their passengers with essential information. And through our customised CMS they can easily update the site as regularly as they need to.
Over the coming weeks we’ll be adding smartcard functionality allowing travellers to update their smart travel cards online. Smartcards are a great new way for passengers to purchase and store tickets, making managing their transport and ticketing needs a breeze.
