A Content Management (CMS) System will save you a small fortune every year! Instead of paying our developers to update your website content, you can just log into our management system and DIY.
And you don't need any special know-how, like HTML. Our CMS is a WYSIWYG system: What You See Is What You Get. So if you can edit a Word doc, content management will be a synch.
"OK, but do I really need a content management system?"
Well in theory, if your copy is fixed, you can live without a CMS. But search engines and customers are always sniffing around for fresh content, so it pays to keep your site up to date.
If it stagnates, everyone loses interest.
Still, we'll be building your CMS to suit the way you work. So if you only want to change specific items, we can lock in everything else. Or if you want the freedom to change every element of every page, we'll build the system accordingly. It's always fully bespoke.
Typically, your Imaginet CMS will allow you to:
- Add and remove pages, changing navigation as you go
- Manage modules, like News, Documents and Multimedia Files
- Format each page with word processing tools
- Add extras like images, tables, bullets and hyperlinks
- Create 'members only' content, controlled by a log-in and password
- Appoint CMS users, with full or restricted access to the system

Getting to grips with your CMS
Don't panic - we don't expect you to dive in and manage your content from day one! We can upload your first round of content as part of the web development process... then we'll train you and your team to use the system once you're ready.
And that's an essential step - especially if you're part of a large organisation, where brand guidelines are paramount. Before training begins, we'll agree the rules for formatting content so every page can be standardised.
Then you can devolve control, without fretting over brand integrity.
