Imaginet partnered with Mersey Tunnels to design and deliver a high-performance FastTag and T-FLOW portal, creating a seamless digital tolling experience that keeps Liverpool moving.

As part of this ambitious programme, Imaginet became the first organisation to integrate with the FastTag Management System from Emovis. The result is a robust, scalable platform that enables customers to create, manage, and top up their FastTag accounts quickly and securely — ensuring faster access through the Mersey Tunnels while maintaining operational efficiency behind the scenes.

The portal provides comprehensive self-service functionality, including transaction history and receipt downloads. Corporate customers can also manage multiple FastTag accounts in bulk, significantly reducing administration time and operational overhead.

Designed to handle extremely high traffic volumes and thousands of secure transactions daily, the platform demonstrates Imaginet’s commitment to performance, resilience, and continuous optimisation — ensuring long-term efficiency while minimising internal resource demands.

The introduction of T-FLOW has further enhanced the customer journey. This advanced video tolling solution uses automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) technology to identify vehicles as they approach the toll lane, allowing barriers to lift almost instantly. Through seamless integration with Emovis, registered users benefit from smoother journeys, reduced congestion, and automatic toll payments deducted directly from their account.

Available for all vehicle classes, T-FLOW removes the need for cash payments and provides customers with full visibility of their journeys and spending through an intuitive online account management system — delivering a faster, more convenient, and future-ready tolling experience.
